3.75/4 stars-I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I had read other reviews and almost didn’t read it, but I’m glad I did. I thought it introduced some thoughts on celebrity, responsibility, etc even if I don’t think the author fully followed through on her conclusion to those topics lol.

I find the multiple narrator strategy to be overused but I thought it worked in this book! Also really enjoyed how the author dropped clues to nudge the reader towards the twists, instead of banging us over the head with them.

I loved the premise of this book, the glamorous island, the exclusive retreat. It was cleverly written but the plot got a little lost for me, there were too many celebrities and at times I got confused. I enjoyed it, but it won’t stick in my mind.

Every character in this book felt almost identical to the one before it. They were so flat that it was actually quite difficult to keep them all straight.

Overall an okay book. Felt like it dragged on a bit too long for me. I get the character building to make every action have a purpose in the end, but it just lost me in some parts. Felt like I had finishing a chapter and was happy to put it down, wasn’t driven to keep reading, and finish as much as I can.

Very good book. Not at all what I was expecting. Very twisted and crazy but I could also see all of this being real. A good book about celebrities and rich people and murder. All around great book!
