This is a well-written novel, but the plot is rather weak on occasions and the story a bit long-drawn out. That said, I liked the main women characters and also Theo - though Tom was very shadowy indeed and just a fall-guy for the daughter Saffy, all in all.

The twist is brilliant though - in spite of the fact that I guessed it a chapter before the Big Reveal. It was really the only thing that made sense. I would definitely try this author again.

Ok... I was on a solid 3 until the last bit. It really picked up and had some nice twists that ended satisfying! It was definitely a very slow read but I didn't feel a ton of unnecessary description or events.
