I'm not sure what I was expecting when I started this book but it most assuredly was not this. Parts of this broke my heart and parts made me happy to watch healing occur for these characters.

The story was split into two perspectives. The first from Mavericks and his Delilah and the other from Tucker and what he experienced while helping his sister heal. That was unusual. Especially, to reconnect at the same point in the story to end on a cliffhanger.

I'm definitely reading the next book. I know what the secret is but still need to see how this pans out.

I had to do a reread of this to prepare myself for book three since it has been a long while since I have read this and I didn't want to forget any details. This was even better the second time around. What I do know after reading this again, was that I was only partially right in regard to the secret as there was SO much more to it than what I thought.

What an amazing start to a suspense filled series. To watch the characters come to life in the storyline was fantastic. You will feel every emotion possible when reading this book. India is one of my favorite authors to read and she has proven it once again proven why.

It's official! There is not one book by India that hasn't made me laugh, and cry, sometimes at the same time. So many emotions were brought out in this ine. It's a story of love after tragedy and loss, it's the story of a love of siblings, unbreakable and true. It's a story of healing, and letting go of the past, finding the courage to move on and trust in someone else once more. All of her books evoke emotions, and great characters that you can relate to or feel you know. All of it makes for a great read, one you hate to put down. I will admit, I am kind of at a loss of what to do know. I am all caught up, and feeling a little lost. I normally don't do it, but I have a feeling I will be rereading her work very soon. She is a new to me author and has quickly become one of my absolute favorites!

It’s not a bad book I’m just not in the headspace for it. I read three books at once and I’m not drawn to it anymore

So good

The story. The characters. The chemistry. It’s all so good. I kept trying to read faster to find out what was going to happen next.
