the twist in the beginning? MESSY. and that’s my fave type of drama to get into so this already had me hooked from the first few chapters. graham and lucy were the definition of grumpy/sunshine. i’ve never read a more grumpier hero than graham but when his sweet moments came through WOW they were worth it. lucy was so sweet and such a strong heroine - the shit that she went through, i would’ve cut all those people in my life off but she has such a big heart! again, miss cherry doesn’t play when it comes to a gut-wrenching emotion!!!!! she really came thru with the angst and heartbreak and pure love with this one. this bitch had me in tears. the wedding scene? i was inconsolable. i loved how slow and organic their love for each other happened. from strangers to friends to more. perfection!!

“I’m trying to feel. I imagined what it would be like to be happy, and I think you are the definition of happiness.” His dark eyes locked with mine, and he cleared his throat twice. “I tried to list the things I find pleasant, outside of Talon of course. It’s a short list, really, only two things so far, and oddly enough, it begins and ends with you.”

I've read several books by this author and to be honest they are hit or miss for me. However, I did enjoy this one very much. I love a complex man and Graham did not disappoint in that department. I did like Lucy and thought the relationship between her sisters was well written. The only problems I had with the story was the predictable twist and I felt that there were too many lose ends that weren't tied up at the end as far as her sisters relationships go.

Sometimes when your heart wanted a full-length novel, the world only gave you a novella, and sometimes when you wanted forever you only had those few seconds of now.

Again, Brittainy C. Cherry! You own me a new heart, you broke mine so many times.
I cried so much reading this, I sobbed. This story is so beautiful, this is a True LOVE story. I t really shows how love is. It doesn't happen the way you want, and it will happen even if you don't want. But most of all shows how love is everywere, it's in all the small moments, the first time your doughther breathes on her own, when a hippie weirdo smiles and when you can make the most closed off guy smile without effort. And really that family it isn't only blood, family is Love.

Words cannot describe how much of a materpiece this book was.
Brittainy Cherry understood the assignment cause the grumpy x sunshine and single dad trope mix together can’t be anything other than good.
I loved everything in this story, but the most obviously the relationship between Lucy and Graham. To have a love like theirs
