I’ve read this book in my early, early teen years. Over the years, I seemed to have lost my copy of the book, but this story has always been in the back of my mind.

It took me years to finally find a copy of this book that I read as a teen. It is one of the Lurlene McDaniel school of thought of the grieving/dying teens. I did like it, but I suspect it would be ridiculous now. I still remember the description of the brother as a cross between a vampire and a hit man. Not sure what that says about the rest of the book.
