To be honest, I expected worse. My German teacher made us read it and I think I would’ve enjoyed it way more without all the pressure of having to finish it on a certain day. Nevertheless, the plot was pretty interesting. Was the ending a bit whack? yeah a hundred percent. But I think it was nice of Lessing to show that all of the religions are somehow connected and that made the moral/point of the book even more relevant.
UPDATE: now that we have to analyze it more and more in class, I’m slowly growing to dislike it, so maybe I’ll update this to 2 and a half stars…
