I picked this up on whim from the library, which feels incredibly fitting given the plot of this novel. For such a little book, it manages to capture so many wonderful things, from grief to discovery to the way books as well as people seem to choose us, instead of the other way around. Fundamentally, this is a celebration of the magic the comes as a byproduct of reading. I loved it, and I cannot recommend it enough.
