This is undoubtedly my favorite of this series so far! A castle in Romania! Royal weddings! Vampires! Intrigue! It was just so... full of cliches at times but in the BEST possible way, you know, the way where you just fondly chuckle and say "yes, good, perfect" and keep reading, instead of being annoyed? Plus no one got sexually assaulted in this book (FINALLY), and I really loved Georgie and Darcy, and the addition of her new maid was a DELIGHT, and frankly I just loved it.

If you like to curl up with a cup of tea, some soft music, and/or rainy sounds while reading a fun, easy book, I HIGHLY recommend this one.

I am really enjoying these easy-listening audiobooks.

The narration is amazing and I love the addition of the new character of Queeney who is a scream.

I also enjoyed the Dracula/Vampire theme in this story as well.

Georgie, Darcy, and Belinda are snowbound in a gothic castle in Romania. I know Bowen was playing with a gothic feel to the book, but I don't believe that Georgie was concerned about vampires. She's too practical for that.

I love her books. They never really disappoint. The only thing I wish is that so many characters didn't reprise their roles all the time. There is always Belinda, her mother, prince Siegfried, and Darcy. Darcy we can't nor do we mind, but the rest get a little grating, especially Belinda. I also wish she didn't push the vampire story too much but it was a satisfying book.

This one is also a bit racist, which is so unnecessary. It added nothing to the story and could have easily been excluded. I find it to be a real downer in an otherwise entertaining experience. I don't think I will continue.
Queenie is a fun character, although there are some serious stereotypes woven into her character. I enjoyed the Transylvania/vampire vibe. I'm glad to see how she got out of the marriage. It is entertaining while also problematic.
