It was really good. It had a lot of Ivypaw’s and Dovepaw’s relationship. I was on Ivypaw’s side. It had some foreshadowing of what might happen with Tigerstar and how he was training cats from the clans. Even though I’m reading this series again, it is still really good.

Love the first glimpses into the Dark Forest. Always loved Tigerheart’s little crush on Dovepaw. Loved seeing Jayfeather take such good care of Briarlight.

Cannot stand Ivypaw and Dovepaw doing nothing but whining, being jealous, etc though. Jesus.

2.5 rounded down. This book did not feel like a complete story. Lots of interesting pieces getting put on the board but the ending didn’t feel like an ending and the climax felt like the Erins forgot they needed to have something.

This series so far has back seated Brambleclaw completely and brought back Firestar which feels weird as it felt like the opposition the power of three.

I don't even blame Ivypaw for that battle, I blame the fact that anyone can just say they had a dream and everybody's like "yeah, let's go battle about it" how about maybe let's go think about it for two seconds
