Read it on the recommendation of a teenager - I did feel like it lived up to the expectation! Tells three harrowing stories of the young refugee experience in a way that I hope bursts hardened hearts open and inspires folks to get out and support displaced persons.

this was a very interesting book! i would definitely give it a read, it truly showed me how awful some people could have it. i would definitely recommend this book.

I work with refugee children everyday so I already knew what to expect.
 Except I didn't expect this book yo hit me as hard as it did. I haven't been this emotionally devastated by a book in a really long time. Once the tears started they wouldn't stop.
