Two Ghostwalkers fall for each other while hiding their true identities. Jesse is all alpha male and lethal, but he's also sweet, gentle and caring at the same time. Saber is tough, equally deadly, but hides a painful past. Their friends-to-lovers story is very sweet, and a change of pace from previous books. I really liked how their genuine friendship and unconditional support for each other is the foundation of their romance (plus lots of secret pining).

Saber has moments of (valid) insecurity and Jesse does everything to prove his love for her. Their fierce protectiveness for each other is a total highlight, and the steam is a nice balance between sexy and tender (rain scene ftw). The romance and action blend well, and it's super cool when they fight as a team. Really enjoyed the read. CW:
torture, the villain had rather disturbing and sick inner thoughts

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5

My god, I don't know where to start with this one.

For the first half of the book, both MCs pissed me off and I didn't like them. Really they almost made me drop it. For the second half MMC redeemed himself but for FMC went from a 0 to a 2 so a little bit of redemption I guess.

I would have DNF the book if it was only the first half. What saved it was the plot, I'm invested and I want to know what's going to happen. And the villain's POV saves it as well.

The second half is a lot better the characters stop being stupid, they still were but not as much and the plot starts to happen so Yay!

But the miscommunication and the MMC obsession with wanting to know everything about FMC but not saying shit was ingrave in this one
