I really enjoyed getting back into this story and finding out what happens to our young couple as they navigate a new life together.

I can't believe this series is finally over! Ultimate hands-down to one of the best YA Sci-Fi series I've read! I've read and enjoyed a lot the first two books, [b:Alienated|13574417|Alienated (Alienated, #1)|Melissa Landers|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1384610045s/13574417.jpg|19155818] and [b:Invaded|17316770|Invaded (Alienated, #2)|Melissa Landers|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1392905721s/17316770.jpg|23985073], because of how the author wrote them so beautifully. It was just so light and quirky, but also fast-paced, the plot flowed smoothly, and the action never dulled. The same thing can also be said in United. This is definitely on the of series that you'll literally devour the entire books in a short amount of time because of how good they are!

I'll keep my review short and spoiler-free, since I know a lot of you guys probably haven't started reading it yet (and I highly suggest that you do).

I was so happy with how the final book turned out. Since it immediately started off at the end of what happened in Invaded, there was no huge adjustment to the main theme. I actually liked how everything was being okay at the start, and then things in Earth and L'eihr started spiraling down the drain just around after Chapter 4 or so. You already know that everyone's happily ever after isn't going to be easily obtained. Huge problems were presented, and Cara and Aelyx's team needs to figure out on how to save both Earth and L'eihr from extinction. I knew from the start that there was noooooo way the author will erase both out of existence, so I had high hopes on how they'll solve the problem. I actually did not expect that what they did at the end was how they saved both planets. I was expecting something grand and really challenging, but, while it was still challenging for the characters, the problem was solve with something so SIMPLE! That was definitely something new for me.

The characters. Ugh. Everyone is just as lovely and amazing as they were in the previous books. Cara and Aelyx are still my top favorites, and their relationship was perfect! I just love a good YA series where there is no love triangles happening, and that the relationship didn't start out as something toxic for each other. Hands down to the most adorable couple in the galaxy! I also love love love how other side characters, like Syrine, Troy, Elle, and Larish, were given more screen time and how they interacted with each other. I'm a huge fan of the Troy and Elle ship. As for the antagonists, I was actually expecting a lot more from Jaxen and Aisly, since they had huge parts in Invaded. So I was highly disappointed at how they each died, because it was just too low-key for me.

The surprise finale at the end was definitely a surprise. I missed David's antics from Invaded, so I was in deep shock that things turned for the best for him and Syrine at the end. If there will be a David and Syrine novella set in the colony in L'eihr, I'm going to read it.

Over-all, I loved it so much. The plot, characters, world-building, and just really much everything. I loved it a lot. If you haven't read the Alienated trilogy yet, I suggest that you do, and you won't regret it.

Wow, I'm pretty disappointed. This has been a young YA sci-fi series with very teen characters but this final instalment wasn't what I expected. It was somewhat repetitive in terms of the drama from the previous two books and the angst felt over-manufactured. I've liked both Aeylx and Cara in this series but even they frayed my nerves in United. The baddies were over-baddy! I definitely prefer Melissa Landers' more mature books in the same genre.

I don't know why, but I did not love this book as much as the other two. It could be that I listened to this book versus reading the other two. I will admit, I was not a super fan of the narrator (though that does not usually influence my rating of a book), but I am not sure exactly what it was.

What I am sure of, is that Landers gave me many gifts in this book, including a HUGE one at the very end. I held out hope for this one thing and it happened. For that I say - Thank you, Melissa Landers!

If you were looking for more action and fighting and that sort of thing, then you are in luck. The conflict comes to a head in this book, therefore, we have actual battles. There are a lot of hold-you-breath moments as well as some nail biting. I don't like to spoil books, but I will say, I was smiling at the end of this one.

Overall: Satisfying ending with an extra special gift for the fans.

DNF at 50% but I read the last two chapters. I just didn't care about the characters or the story anymore. Feel like I didn't miss much.

This was a very fun and entertaining read! I was immediately sucked into the story and loved the relationship between the humans and the L’eihrs. There were so many adorable characters that were introduced in the series and I honestly can’t decide who my favorite is.

My favorite part were definitely the changes in relationships. In the beginning, there were so much tension between both species as well as a lot of tension within the humans because some of them were for this potential ally but others were against it. However, as the story progressed, I really enjoyed reading how that dynamic changed and thought that it was done incredibly well.

If you’re looking for a fun and enjoyable series that is also quick read then definitely check out this one!

Fine. Everything is fine. It all wrapped up in a perfect little bow.
I will say that the trilogy went downhill after the first book. But, in the end, I still enjoyed it. Good time was had.

I was actually really happy with this book! I had been worried when I read the synopsis that it would be drawn out or unnecessary, but it wasn't and I just really loved how everything went down. I loved seeing another alien race and getting an explanation as to by L'eirs and humans are so similar. And also, the big ending was very satisfying and not at all convenient. I'm pretty sad to see this series end, but it was a very good one.
