Quite a few unexpected twists
However ended up quite irritated with characters such as Helena

Set in the mountains of Norway, the setting becomes a secondary character framing the plot and actions of the characters.  I did guess a little where this one was heading, but no one could have prepared me for some of those twists.

While the suspense is the draw in this one, it also focuses on friendship and how we view ourselves as our lives progress.

Throughout the book there are chapters on a search for a missing character, but the reader is not privy to who is missing.  I was always looking for clues to figure out where this was going and see if I could figure out who was missing and what happened.

Thank you Lucy, @netgalley and @harpercollinsuk for my ARC copy in exchange for an honest review ...

I am going to do my best to review without giving too much away as I believe you should go in blind with this story!

I will start by saying I absolutely LOVED this!! Lucy has a way of making you constantly change the way you think .... One minute you think you have it figured out then .... Bam ... Something happens and you're like ohhh maybe not.... but then again ... I was going round in circles at one point with it

The book was ok but I did see the conclusion coming and the overall message is kinda gross -
Spoilerthat the single childfree woman is the expendable one for the plot and of course the woman who had previously not wanted kids ended up with one after all

Formulaic and obvious, and reeks of internalised misogyny to me.
