Short and sweet but with a strong message. Truly, we should all be feminists.

This is adapted from a TED talk and I can only imagine how powerful these words were when spoken on stage. They're still powerful in written form, looking at personal experiences as a woman in Nigera and why we must look at gender instead of putting it aside in favor of calling these issues a "human problem".

Anyone who wants a quick introductory text on modern feminism should read this. Let it inspire you to seek out more feminist texts.

This book is a simplified feminist masterpiece. It explained the gender power currently existing is based on physical strength due to the nature of the world in the past and delves into the lack of benefits evolutionary biology provides in a modern-day world. My only criticism is this book does not explore disabled women and trans women and I would have liked to see these minorities included in this essay.

*I do not support Adichie nor endorse her attitudes, this book was on my friend's bookshelf and I wanted to see what she had to say*
