Another book I'd use for a project on infamous bad people, and another book that I'd give to a group of gifted students to use, since it'd require more analysis and thought to determine whether he was "wicked" or not. Plenty of interesting information and relatively unbiased.

4/5 on here, 8/10 for myself

Wow -- this one is the best of the series so far. I knew Ivan wasn't nicknamed "The Terrible" for nothing, but the book opens with Ivan's massacre of the town of Novgorod and doesn't lose speed or intensity. More great illustrations, artwork, and timelines/sidebars found throughout. These are all great for young readers and adults looking for engaging, compact historical biographies...that are ironically fun to read!

Great, quick read!! I learned a lot! Answered a lot of questions I had from reading The Family Romanov. Man, Russia has been through a lot. Longer review later. Read for grad school.
