This was a very short but impactful read. I’ve read a few things recently that meditate on being a wife and a mother and how those experiences might be disappointing. This has sparse, plain language that feels almost curt sometimes, but that is writing that I enjoy. It has an immediacy and a sharp impact that works for me.

Francesca was sometimes insensitive, but also so much fun

Deep, emotional and leaves you feeling hollow. Her words take you through such a traumatic experience, with accurate depictions of being lost in dating. The death of her baby, leaves you feeling hollow and lost. By the end you can’t help but agree with why she picked up that revolver.
