SpoilerSuch a loss losing the majority of the Bridgeburners, Whiskeyjack and Itkovian! I can't believe that they're gone but they went in such glory! Not with a whimper but a roar!

It was such a good book! It dragged a bit after the initial battle at Capustan but quickly picked up again, can't wait to see where all these different threads are heading!

This book was a fav of the year. It introduced one of my favorite characters and scenes I keep think in back on. It says a lot about the extremes of humanity and the power of forgivnes.

reading a detailed, grim account of a siege during a global pandemic is a fucking bummer. had to put the book down for a couple of months because of it.

i honestly just found the dinosaurs with swords for hands ridiculous, especially since erikson usually has better justification for his world and characters.

the last third of the book makes the entire slog worth it.

Spoilerwhiskeyjack's death!! so good!! fridge 'im to give the cool elf lady pain!

i want what those two funky lesbian bridgeburners have!!

Toc, Tool and Lady Envy dream team!!

this book convinced me to keep going with this series
