I really liked the ending but I didn't so much like the beginning of the book because it was kind of slow to start and it was hard to find out what the old book had to do with Merry Owens until later towards the middle of the book.

I loved this book, it has time traveling, romance, and it's based in Wales, since that's where the author it from. And more importantly, I loved that it had the name, Angharad in it, since that's my name. I have never seen my name in any book ever. It was great.

A generous three stars for a supposed young adult that reads like a simplistic middle grade.
Also it can’t just have been me who doesn’t like the main character.

The beginning was rather boring, but once got get to the awesome time travel it's like that movie Timeline with Paul Walker meets Pixar's Brave. A fun stand alone adventure with an awesome female heroine!

an amazing story! was slow at first, but the story does pick up. good for younger readers. I liked reading a good adventure story without romance interfering.

Longbow Girl by Linda Davies was pretty good. Merry Owens has been taught how to shoot a bow since she was 5. She is the first longbow girl since the first Owens saved a prince that gave them their farm and lands hundreds of years ago. After discovering an ancient book in a burial ground and discovering a path to the past on their lands, Merry seeks to save to their farm and her family from ruin in the present and even in the past. A great premise for a book! The Welsh Highlands was a wonderful backdrop for this fun read. The characters were unique and well developed. Merry is a girl longbowman but she also happens to be disabled only having one eye after her bow broke taking her other eye. The biggest disappointment was the predictable plot but otherwise a very entertaining read. Recommended.
