I really like Ellis’s books. This one had a lot of potential, but was kind of a dud. A killer who previously exploited the love people have for each other to torture them? Multiple characters with new partners? A couple with a new set of twins? Naw… let’s trick the cognitively impaired in some random string of events that are dragged out longer than needed. So much potential of an evil villain wasted. Oh well.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book it had a great storyline. Kept me engaged right from page one until it spat me out at the end after a marathon reading session. It was very hard to put down and was a great instalment in this series. Very much looking forward to the next one! It was one of those books that you get really engrossed in and find hard to put down. A solid 4 stars from me, it was excellent.

Best yet of the Jackman & Evans series. One thing about Ellis -- character development. First rate.

I like to read reviews, but if I like a writer, I'm willing to read for myself. I really enjoyed the story. It was very exciting. I have been reading the Jackman and Evans series and enjoying their relationship with each other and the team. I even like Ruth Crook. I believe I'm addicted to Joy Ellis.

Love this series and Richard Armitage should narrate every audiobook!
