Book 5 of The Agency Series by Marni Mann features Pepper Michaels, who you may recognize as Scarlett’s best friend from the 4th book in the series, Negotiated. Pepper is the owner of two high society sex-clubs, one in LA and one in Miami.
In the opening chapters of the book she meets Bale Pierce who is actually a spy/private investigator hired by someone looking for details on Peppers business practices for the low low price of $3,000,000. he isn’t EVER supposed to interact with the “mark” (Pepper) or make himself known on a job, but he just can’t help himself after watching her from afar for 3 months , which in turn leads to a one-night-stand that neither of them will ever forget.
🌶️ 5/5 This story centers around Peppers kink: orgasm denial. Yes, it’s just as interesting & intense as you would think it is. After watching her for months, Bale has learned and mastered the art 🥵 If it wasn’t for the innovative and different spice of this book I’m not sure I’d be into it, hence the rating.
Overall I felt like the story definitely could’ve been more well-rounded and fleshed out. There’s not a lot of plot holes, but there’s not a whole lot of detail for what’s there either. Of course I recommend reading if you’ve read the other books in the series just because I’m a h*e for completing a series, but just know it’s not a heavy hitter like the others in my opinion.
