This book follows Pepper who has a club but is being stalked by a man who fills her lust though things are getting mysterious and bad. I have read The Intern by Mann which I LOVED but I have to say that I was disappointed with this book. From the beginning, I kind of already wasn't liking it as it started off differently than what I liked. I felt that I couldn't get connected to the characters or the plot and felt left out of the story. The story was way too short and very fast-paced which made the story feel incomplete. There were many key elements left out of the story. The story was more smut based (which started from the beginning) than plot. With not getting a connection with the characters, I didn't care about the spice. I know this is the fifth book of the series and I haven't read the others so I'm not sure if I would feel the same if I did read the other books.
This book is told from both Bale and Pepper's pov. Bale is some sort of agent who is stalking Pepper for his client though he's falling in love with her. Pepper owns the club and once she gets a piece of Bale, she can't stop thinking about him. The characters weren't poorly written, it was just the way they were introduced, not getting much information and not feeling the connection. They did develop but I wish I enjoyed their characters. There aren't many side characters except two who were barely on the page. The story very much involved Pepper and Bale. The romance is forbidden romance and stalker romance which has quite of bit of steamy scenes.
The ending was not the best as it was very rushed and ended abruptly. There was an epilogue which was cute. Sadly I didn't love this book like I hoped to have as I have read and loved The Intern so much. This book didn't have any memorable scenes for me and I just think its the way the story was so rushed. If you want to start off with her series, I recommend The Dalton Family.

But itโs not really meant to be much more than that. The dedication called this book a snack - and I wholeheartedly agree.

first off, I love this series. this was a spicy novella that will have you panting. you get Bale who is a possessive alpha male with a v dirty mouth. and then you have pepper who owns the club and knows what she wants. the chemistry and tension was everything that you would except from a marni book. this one just happens to be a little shorter, but no less will have you wanting more of them.

Perfect for fans of Sara Cate! Marni Mannโs new addition to The Agency series is the spiciest yet! Pepper & Bale have never been fans of relationships but each find a sense of trust and comfort with one another. Their shared interests connect them together but they soon find out that very little will keep them apart. This spicy novella draws you in from the very start and will keep you entertained though out! I definitely recommend Dominated for anyone who likes their novels filled with spice and twists!

I may have enjoyed this as a novella, but having it as a whole story made me love it! It was delicious. I devoured it! I loved getting into the โbeforeโ, where the novella was the โduringโ. Bale had his eyes on Pepper. It may have been his job, but it quickly became something so much more than that. He wanted to prove that he was what she wanted and needed. And when the time was right, he pounced. And then Bale proceeded to prove that he was exactly that. But Pepper also had her eyes on him. So when they entered her prized room together, their connection was undeniable. Just one night would never be enough for either of them. Baleโs lifestyle didnโt exactly allow for more. But he would do anything for her. Pepper believed in her worth, and wouldnโt settle for less. That connection of theirs, though, made cutting ties with him impossible. Especially when her life depended on him.

Okay, okay. I know this is a novella! But it felt like it was missing key parts of the story! Without those parts (and a little background info) the plot seemed far fetched to me. The spice was good ๐, but the plot needed more ๐.
