Reading this in a collected format really made the last third a much stronger story. It's interesting to see which themes (pretty much everything involving Swamp Thing) were carried over into the DCnU with the New 52, honestly I think Brightest Day would have made a much better transition into it than Flashpoint did as the foundation was laid with Firestorm's powers changing and becoming so unstable. Even with this being removed from continuity it's still worth reading.

The best. Completely worth making it all the way to the end. The final page alone is great for those of us just starting to dive into the new 52 titles. Plus, without spoiling it, the final rebirth of a completely underrated hero is amazing. I totally did not see it coming and in no way did I see how Deadman (my favorite hero) would tie it all together.

Wow, if I was a fan of these character's I'd be feeling super betrayed by the writers right now. As it is I've never seen someone jerk they're fans around so cruelly before, and I hope I never do again. Negative stars.

Not the ending I was expecting. It would have been nice if I knew the backstory at all, so the big reveal really fell flat for me.
