One of my favorites. I am really liking [a:Marla Frazee|122662|Marla Frazee|http://www.goodreads.com/images/nophoto/nophoto-U-50x66.jpg]'s work in general these days. Another picture book I've seen read aloud in a video.
This one was banned in Florida recently, which is just wild. Here is nothing inappropriate about this book and I found it very sweet.

I found out about this book, because some people want it banned due to a singular image of lesbian parents rocking their baby to sleep. It was a great book. If you ever think about what you should read to your baby - read them this. It is like a love letter to babies and it might help you take a step back from parenting when it gets stressful and understand again why you loved you baby.

Well this was just the most adorable thing (cue big heart-starry eyes)! I loooooved the diversity of families Susan Meyers and Marla Frazee showed. My heart has all the warm fuzzies :)

One of my favorites! Diverse families, without being a preachy story book. Great board book.

Another book the littles request almost always, which brings me joy as it was one of my kids' favourites. Beautiful illustrations.

My son really enjoyed this from age two onwards and it definitely helped him come around to the idea of having a baby in the house when I was pregnant with my second son. Loved how inclusive the drawings are too - ahead of its time in that respect.

Read this to JJ (5) and Sabra (3). They're a bit old for it I thought, but JJ picked it out. Good diversity of skin tones and family types but presents a standard American setting. Also, apparently comes with a "baby on board" window cling which I think is part of a movement that leads to helicopter parenting.

We tried this as a board book, maybe around 1 year, and he was totally uninterested. We tried it again at 2 as a picture book, and he loved it. I always love Marla Frazee's illustrations - she really captures the essential nature of babies, show in wonderful diversity of family types and races.

This is one of the best board books my daughter and I have read together. We have read it at least three times a day over the last few weeks - she always picks it as a bedtime story. Lovely words and the illustrations are amazing - so fabulous to see diverse families <3 I'm going to buy our own copy.
