Very good. I wasn't impressed with Hunter in the previous books. But I loved him in this. Kata reminded me of quite a few womenI know. I can't wait for the next book. I am hoping that I like Logan in his book more than I do now.
This book is a definate recomendation to all my friends.

Surrender to Me was an emotional and sexual power house of a novel.
Hunter, who is what I call an Alpha’s alpha. He’s complex and like a fire cracker waiting to go off. A Navy Seal and a Dom, he has the confidence needed to be both. Things he wants don’t just slide through his fingers. What was to be a night of fun, stops him in tracks. Going all out, like on a mission Hunter goes after Kata and there is no stopping him. I still am not sure what I really think of Hunter. I don’t quite think he is the “means asshole” that he is proclaimed to be, but I don’t really love him either. There were part of him I enjoyed and times I just wanted to snack him upside the head.
Kata is her own woman. She is strong willed and independent. She is the one who controls her life. When a friend set up a b-day party for Katas twenty-fifth in Vegas, Ben not only gives her a party he tries to deliver her fantasy of a ménage. In walked Hunter hitting her like a ton of bricks. She has baggage that makes men like Hunter, throw up the red flags. Kata learns that “What happens in Vegas”, doesn’t always stay in Vegas. Katas mind and body conflict badly when it comes to the domineering man that is Hunter. Getting lost in a man is one thing, loosing yourself to a man is another.
I have read many of the Wicked Lovers Series books, and Surrender to Me is hands down my favorite of the six that I have read. Yes, I will admit that I have become addicted to Ms. Blacks naughty and steamy talent for writing romance. She knows how to deliver a book that is hot, dangerous and intense. It also makes you look outside the box. Surrender is not quite like the pervious in the series. I found the emotions get a bit deeper in this one. A powerful read!

Wow so that was a LOT of emotional drama and baggage to work through for two people falling fast. The sex was hot of course and the danger was intense. Dying for Logan's book now

Slightly clichéd and unrealistic; alas, it’s romance so some suspension of reality is necessary. Solid showing.

I was not disappointed with this book.
Nope.
What I am...is PISSED.
For the love of all that's latex and shiny! The two main characters tested my limits. I've never exclaimed, "you're an idiot!" as much as I have while in the throes of reading this book.
I'm not going to bother with a brief summary.
The Review: Hunter is an alpha-male an a half. He went past Fifty Shades of Neanderthal. Listen, man. If the woman says NO to BDSM, I really think you should back off. But nooooooo you insisted, you refused to listen, and plowed on like her wants didn't matter. As if you really know that she's meant for that type of relationship. Regardless of how this book ended, or how Kata felt afterwards, I am not convinced that Hunter read her right.
Oh and Kata? Your wishy-washy attitude overshadowed how "independent and strong" you claimed to be throughout the book. It's just a dick, for heaven's sake. Listen, girl. If having sex with that man makes you cry afterwards, I think you should run for the hills...or go back to your fuck friend, Ben. Even if the sex is mild, at least you don't have to lose your self-respect and your right to orgasm when you want.
The Verdict: This book was exhausting, not at all "hot", and extremely maddening. Honestly? I had sympathetic groin pains for Kata because Hunter refused to let her orgasm. I will never get the appeal of BDSM. It's probably because I have very little tolerance for pain. And it's why I had a hard time seeing this book through the end. This book was painful to read.

It was a welcomed suprise to have the book set between Lafayette Louisiana and Dallas Texas... Different from my usual style but I couldn't put it down.
