A very cute book. I like hippos (yeah, big shock), so my friend Steve gave me this for my birthday. I actually learned a few things about the Owen-Mzee relationship that I didn’t know, and the pictures are so darn cute!

Excellent book filled with fun pictures that show this unique relationship. Loved it. Great for young readers that enjoy animals. The text is relatively simple, but gives many interesting details.

I found this in the child section of Barnes & Noble and had to buy it in theory for my two year old but really for me - not that I'm trying to brainwash him to a veterinarian or anything that obvious.
