This one was probably too philosophical to me. I liked Mira but I felt like I was looking at her life through a telescope, where I was able to see what was happening, but it felt really far away. I'm sure this is a book for some people, but it wasn't really for me.

This book made me want turn into a leaf and have some processing time. It is written more like a poem. I loved the metaphors of bear, bird, and fish.

I really did not get this book. The whole middle chunk, in the leaf, my brain kept turning off as I read. Maybe because I've never experienced grief before? I just couldn't follow.
I thought I would like philosophical ramblings about life and existing but I found this book hard to grasp and couldn't really land on a reason why it was worth reading.
I really liked reading about Mira and Annie though, I found that dynamic really relatable.
