Such a fun and creepy graphic novel. Great first gift from my Secret Sister!

what a weird fever dream of a story, it was great. I expected zombies and instead got
Spoiler parasitic alien birds desperately trying to survive an extinction event
. apparently the author also wrote some episodes for "Courage the Cowardly Dog" and that totally tracks.

They should have left out use of the "R" word.

The art is well done, the story is interesting, and I really liked the ending. But... it just wasn't amazing.

Well that was... interesting. I got this for Hicks' art, which as always is excellent, but the story and script were strange. There is something with the kids getting smarter, and their "intelligent vocabulary" sounds like someone using a handful of big words to sound smart. A couple scenes seemed completely random, and a weak ending. Overall, not really recommended, though it is a cohesive story, despite its flaws.
