I read this to my cousin recently. He really wanted me to read a book to him and I had this on my shelf. I will say the reason I have this book is because my fiance is a HUGE maple leafs fan and when I saw this book at value village I just had to buy it! I actually enjoyed it! It was so cute and the writing was almost poetic. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because of the ending. The book sets it up to be all about the sweater but then that plot kinda changes. But anywho, it is a kids book :P

It's impossible to review this one without any bias. A kid's Christmas wish for a Leafs sweater was something I remember fondly. This book took me back to the Christmas where I got to see a Leafs-Habs game where my hero scored with only seconds left. The composition is average at best, but the heartstrings pull this one through. GO LEAFS!
