I can see why this a book was so hyped! I liked the length of it, too many romance and like little snapshots into characters lives but Mile High is a more realistic look into a persons life. I found it to be a little cheesy in parts but isnโ€™t that what makes romance so cutesy?

It was a nice palette cleanser. At some point I thought that the story was taking a bit too long and nothing much was happening, but the story was still nice. I think it was nice that  the FMC is a plus size and has to learn to love her body. Also I'm a bigger fan of love story when they admit their love and go out together at the end, here it was a bit quick to my liking

This was a decent book but it could've been like 150 pages shorter. It moved SO slowly.

๐ŸŒถ๏ธ 3/5 multiple explicit scenes but the spice just wasn't spicing for me

๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆโœŠ Both characters are Black/mixed, I think? FMC is biracial (Black and white); I was a little unclear on MMC's parents' races, but he is Black. FMC is fat and she deals with fatphobia, both personally and societally. Props for the mental health & pro-therapy story lines; we love a king who's been in therapy for a decade lol
