This is probably the worst book I've read this year there are like 50 pages near the end where I got a bit interested and that ended quickly but if it hadn't also been on audio I would have dnfed it also literally every character except maybe the mom and dad everyone else is dull and annoying. I feel so let down I loved we were lairs and was so excited for this but I know from about chapter 2 it was gonna be dull and unenjoyable

Honestly nothing special. Very supernatural driven. I think I would have like it quite a bit more when I was a teenager/when I read We Were Liars. The “plot twist” was pretty predictable and lack luster.

A year and a month later (to the day somehow) I finally finished this book! The delay wasn’t a matter of the book’s quality but more on me needing a break from the flurry of YA books I read last year.

Family of Liars is a fantastic continuation of We Were Liars. I love returning to the Sinclair family so much, E Lockhart has them down to a t, to the point that it feels like I am there, in that claustrophobic island - full of luxury and tragedy.

Loved reading more about the family and I loved Carrie (my favourite Sinclair daughter). I want 5 more books into the family.

It had nothing to do with the first book and it kept talking about ghosts, which the first book had nothing to do with!
