Ice Cream bread anyone?

Before I go on and on about how I loved this book, let me say something. This author did a good job. This was my first time reading her book, and I loved it.

The author started out by showing us the family dynamics of both characters and how it affected their day-to-day lives, but one thing stood out — it was written so well that you could see growth in both characters. They didn't let their family issues come in the way of what they truly wanted in life.

I loved the way Tanner was so gentle with Lucy's bloody mishap (lol, it's not about murder, read to find out). Their friendship grew from being enemies to friends and then lovers — that's a love story I can relate to.

Thank you, Susannah for a copy of Cream and Punishment. I really enjoyed it. Now let me go make some Ice Cream Bread.

This is what I enjoy about contemporary romance, multidimensional characters, interesting family dynamics, and people growing. I can’t wait for more of these!

AHHHHHHHHHHH HOLY MOTHER I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!! sorry that was a little unnecessary but is true this book is easily a new favorite for me. i mean seriously how could it get better HE QUOTED MR FREAKIN DARCY!!!!!!!! and i’ll say a second chance romance is not something i usually gravitate towards but this, this might just have me reevaluating my opinion of the trope. the character development was THERE and i just ugh i have no words. i definitely feel like tanner was written by taylor swift, he’s just so flippin awesome. lucyyyyyyyy the way i related to her was like… i was shocked how much i related to her. and THE SPICE *wheeze* i like had to regroup a couple times not gonna lie. if you’re a fan of…
-cute and steamy romances
-extremely relatable female leads
-hot and sexy feminist cinnamon roll male leads
-and pretty intense s*x scenes (like a 6.8-7/10 on the spice-o-meter)
you would love this
9.6/10 would DEFINITELY recommend ❤️

Tanner, the male lead, knew when he was first with Lucy, the female lead, that he loved her but Lucy was not emotionally in a position to accept that love. Now their situation changes and their relationship develops and maybe things are different … though they do both have significant family influences pulling at them…

This story is dual POV, well written and edited, and very realistic in terms of the family situations that the characters find themselves working through. I appreciated the character and relationship development and the genuine integration of secondary characters. It wasn’t pure romance though, so be aware going in.
