Such an easy read with an interesting look into love, family connections and just what exactly you would do for those you love.

Thoroughly enjoyed the mystery and the audiobook narration but the pacing dragged towards the end and the ending wasn’t terribly unpredictable which bumped it down a star for me

This one took me forever to finish, however I thoroughly enjoyed this when I did. The reason I couldn’t race right through it in the beginning is because I was postpartum and my heart was literally breaking at the fact that a poor little 1 year old baby’s mom was missing. I couldn’t get past that fact for awhile and I found it hard to pick up. BUT I barreled through and then in the end finished the last 75% of the book in two days. Loved the story, loved the duel timeline, creative and shocking and truly a great read.

I’ve read a few of Lisa Jewel’s books and this one remains top 3! I knew the end would include some messed up situation, but I was surprised in a way that challenged my comfort zones around thrillers. It’s fun to consider how likely is it that these situations happened/could happen in real life…
