"After her husband, a high-profile defense attorney, leaves home to live with his new lover, Mattie Hart falls ill, a situation that prompts her guilt-ridden husband to return to care for her." (From Amazon)
I really liked this novel - the characters were realistic and the storyline was great.

A very sweet book that makes you believe that there really can be happy ever after endings. When I find myself skipping ahead in anticipation of what will happen next, that's my indication that I'm reading a good book. And this book had me doing that in spades. Had to force myself to read every line so as not to miss anything critical. My first Joy Fielding book, but definitely not my last!

This book started off really frustrating at first. I would get really pissed off at the main character, Mattie, for allowing her husband to walk all over her. But as I read more, I started to understand her unconditional love for him and then I really enjoyed the book. It's a story about making a marriage work in the most horrible circumstances, and finding love again, with each other, along the way. A good tear-jerker :)

vacation read and a boring one at that. So trite and contrived and predictable. I'm so tired of these popular authors and their cookie cutter novels.
