Spoiler: When Rick Ross is sick, he puts Vick’s vapor rub on his feet… then puts on socks.

WOW! This was another audiobook that slid into my Libby app that I was AMPED for. This book was truly a wild ride. While I thought the narration was solid, I think as my husband said, Rick Ross missed a great opportunity to narrate his own story. I really liked hearing about Ross' time during the pandemic, it was particularly moving. It was relatable to see that not only average people struggled during those dark times, but celebs like Ross really had to pivot as well. I also thought the chapter discussing Kanye West was fascinating as well. If you like Ross, you won't be disappointed by his second book.

Am I the target audience for this? Probably not. Did I find the entire book fascinating? Yes. Did I learn a lot? Yes. Did I connect with another human being’s experience? For sure. Am I going to read his other memoir? Yep.

Had to DNF this 😭 the pros: I can 100% hear Rozay’s voice through the text and I thought that was hilarious. However, I can’t take any more of “your hustle determines your worth” talking about how showing off a 250 acre ranch for a movie set is at all comparable advice for the come up. There are a lot of thrown together tidbits of advice that aren’t exactly unique. I did enjoy hearing about his experiences over the last two years. I am happy for his success but I’ll stick to the music.
