A charming but slightly disturbing addition to Jeffersâ âBoyâ series: quirky intertextuality, lovely illustrations (very good use of dark tones for a night sky) but the boy is curiously disconnected from the alien on the moon⌠So there is lots to talk about, lots - even on the last page - to make you stop and think. What is friendship really? How do chance encounters change you? At odds with Kitamuraâs UFO Diary or even Litchfieldâs Lights on Cotton Rock, this is a great Jeffers story, but ambiguous.

Cute. And silly. And without especially good art. But a nice enough story. And imaginative in a kind of careless way. I keep expecting to find one of the books by this author to be to my taste. It wasn't this one though.

Bought this at a library used book sale for 1$. A little tender restoration and...delightful. Yay!

2.5/5 This tale of an adventurous boy who meets and befriends a Martian is sure to appeal to children aged 4-8 particularly if they are already fans of Oliver Jeffers illustrative style. I found it lacked the depth of many of his other picturebooks but I suppose they can't all tug on the heart strings!

This sequel to [b:Lost and Found|301141|Lost and Found|Oliver Jeffers|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1173536266s/301141.jpg|1410555] is another great story about an imaginative boy finding friendship even in the oddest places. He gets stuck on the moon, as one is wont to do when one finds an airplane in a closet, and finds a martian in a similar situation. They help each other out and part ways, friends.
I love it!

A boy finds a plane in his cupboard and flies off to space. I keep clothes in my cupboard but to each their own.
