I enjoyed this book quite a bit. The writing seems much smoother throughout compared to my small gripes with the first one and it had a decent plot and few good twists that genuinely shook me. Some may be a little obvious but perhaps that's because I read this with my analytical goggles one deliberately trying to guess them. My only minor issues with it was the romance and how I'm not personally jiving with it or the enemy and the way the school year ended; other than that I can 100% say my favourite part, in this book and the last, was the friendships. Urvi has a talent in writing really convincing 'found-family' style friendship that are genuinely intriguing and investing. I love every member of the team and think they're all believable characters. They all have flaws and skills and the way they talk to each other made me laugh more than once, its genuinely heartwarming. The story really amped up as well and I'm really interested to see where it goes from here in the next one which I've already bought at this point.
