While I enjoyed this book, the ending was very abrupt. The last chapter was such a random, abrupt ending that I didn’t realize the story was over. It also felt like most of the book was setting up for other couples’ stories. There are random chapters in a side character’s POV that don’t really add to Inessa and Eoughen’s story. For example, the chapter from Finn’s wife’s POV where she invites Inessa to an author convention an entire year away, felt super random to have in there. I also thought it was strange that the drama and tension had nothing to do with the main characters. Overall it was a good read, but I wanted to see move development with the main characters outside of sexual encounters. There were so many side characters introduced I had a hard time keeping them straight.
