It has been 14 years since I originally read The Five People You Meet in Heaven. It has remained one of my, and my moms, favourite books of all time. If you haven't read it yet I would highly, highly recommend. Finally getting a sequel after so long was such a nice surprise, although the first book can easily stand on its own without a followup.

This book takes a similar, yet different twist than the original. You will follow along with Annie as she meets her own 5 people. 4 of the 5 made me so heavy with emotions and in tears. This book easily draws you in and you can really feel the relationships between characters.

I am pleasantly surprised with Mitch Albom's ability to take such an important book and make the sequel so intertwined. I am glad that he added aspects of the first book and small reminders of what had happened in Eddie's journey as well.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I am a huge fan of The Five People You Meet in Heaven so naturally I was excited about this book. It did not disappoint. Mitch Albom's ability to draw out emotion and paint a picture of what he is writing is amazing. Another great addition by Albom!
