The book jumped right into Duncan and Ash being together. Communication between Barrett and Flynn could have been better. Barrett was a bitch to Ash quite a few times but also, Ash was dramatic other times. Barrett brought a lot to the table and showed that she could run with the guys and did what needed to be done, without needing help. The part where Flynn and the boys are out taking care of business and it was randomly in third person POV was confusing when there was only ever Barrett’s view the whole rest of the book. DNF rest of series because I was tired of this couple and felt like it was enough drama and storyline for one couple. Fade to black and one POV was upsetting as well.

Really good series. Barrett kept this from being 5 stars for me. I didn't like the Igor story line. It felt like she was cheating on Flynn in her heart. I love Flynn and how much he loves Barrett. Lot of action going on to keep a reader invested.

OK.
A lot of trust issues for Barratt in this one. Maybe a lot of that stems from guilt tho....?

In this one we see a sprinkling of Scottish history and an addition of some string female characters. Doesn't harm the storyline at all.

What is concerning is that akltho Barratt confesses deep love for flynn, she dreams of sascha, confides in him almost daily and even shared a kiss. And SHE has trust issues with FLYNN?? Hmmm. This situation needs to explode before it's resolved. All bystanders will get hurt and its not clear who will come out smiling....
