Dark, fatalistic, deadpan. I would have loved this book when I was 25.

Kind of fun, but ultimately rather empty. Just classic depression writing rehashed. It's saving grace is it's short length. Short enough that I don't feel like I wasted my time, if you're depressed give it a shot.

I enjoyed the prose stylistically and it felt like this was building to something, some final closing line or paragraph that would leave the reader with that BOOM moment … but there was nothing. It just sort of fizzles to an end. I found myself flicking through the last few blank pages wondering if I had missed something.

Great writing but ultimately an unsatisfying read.
