Agatha Christie but gay? Adorbs. So sweet. Also slightly murdery. But so sweet. Or like knives out but sweet. Or like Maisie Dobbs but gay.

This is every bit as lovely and heartwarming as Hither Page, and I’m delighted it exists.

Cosy mystery, sweet romance. Fun characters, good pace, great writing, as I have come to expect from this author. My only qualm about is that the romance plot is kinda linear and doesn't have good beats. "there is an internal conflict and then the guy gets over himself" is a bit meh. Still, great overall. Old houses with mysteries are simply the best, even though this feels more like a story set in 1928 than 1948
