Its like two different genres of books in one.. no, not mixed together, but literally one half of the book has a certain theme and then next half is completely something else.
the moment it switched gears, i immediately did not like it. i only finished it bc i was listening to the audiobook.
I wish it was all hallucinations so the end could be up for interpretation, but nope. every character saw, heard, and was affected by whatever it was. im so glad i didnt purchase this book, i would have been so mad.
So sad bc i REALLY anticipated this and thought the cover was great. but by the end you have to constantly keep checking if you’re even reading the right book.

Man, this was a weird ride of a book. I hated almost all the characters, felt squeamishly uncomfortable at the awkward cringe moments, and was so thrown off track halfway through when the bizarro stuff started to happen. This is more of a fever dream than a book.

Did I enjoy it? I'm not sure. Do I feel confused? Absolutely. Should you read it? Yes, so you can explain to me what I just read.
