This book had a VERY slow start; but then it picked up quite a bit and had a great ending. It was worth reading it to the end. I ended up changing my opinions of many of the characters as their story progressed.

I didn't fall in love with this one like I have some of her others. And I didn't get the epilogue. Someone explain that to me.

Windfallen is a very slow, not very in-depth plot. The plot is a little bit unusual as it is based on a house. It was a enjoyable read to know how the characters developed from the past to the present. And what happens to the house over time. However, I have enjoyed other Jojo Moyes books better.

Slightly messy ending. Does Guy ever find out the truth. Does the child ever find out the truth?

I feel the same way about this book as I have done about the past few Jojo Moyes books - lovely writing, but some of the characters leave a lot to be desired & the story seemed rather disjointed in parts. It also had quite an abrupt ending & the epilogue felt like an afterthought that didn’t really explain a certain character’s motivation.
