I enjoyed this - some of the chapters I found a little repetitive, but some were really interesting & made me think a lot about novels and novelists.

Murakami's career and creative life, told in his own words. Some nuggets here for authors to take home, but simply learning from someone with such a long and storied career is always worth exploring.

A light collection of essays from Murakami's trademark no-frills voice—Novelist as a Vocation gave me some interesting moments to think about on a road trip, and I think I would revisit one or two of the essays again someday. Nothing life-changing, but it's Murakami, so it's not bad, either.
