It's depressing me a lot. Before quarantine, I can't imagine the pain of what anne frank is going through?? But now, the whole war is facing the same thing. Only perk is we don't have the constant fear of bombs falling on our heads. I, too, want to feel the fresh air as badly as anne does.

I am not able to stop crying. It just flows through my eyes, with every page. At first, I can't just connect with anne. With every page, my life is slightly similar to that of anne. Now I can easily understand what she's going through and that makes me want to cry a lot.

Reading this journal, I just can't believe that she's a thirteen year old girl. She views the world from a different point of view and I really liked it. War sometimes can make a girl into a women. She's the toughest girl I have ever read about and I adore her.

I have read so many times about second world war but I can't handle it. This book too depressed me like hell. After some time, I just want to put it out of my sight, but I didn't do it.

I hated that Doctor Dussell, Anne shared her entire room with him but he won't allow her to use the table just for two hours. I can understand that he has works to do, but so did anne. She too wanted some space for herself.

It was infuriating to know that nobody seems to understand what anne is going through especially her parents. How can they mock her, when she's crying?? Maybe they done it because she was crying for a petty matter. Did they ever think of what will be the impact of this on anne?? More than one time, I wanted to hug anne so tightly that she would forgot all the things that's nagging in her mind.

First of all, I didn't realize that there were so many versions of Anne's diary - the diary she started, her notes to her earlier entries in 1944, her father's edited version after the war, versions with new information, correct names, etc. put out by the Anne Frank foundation in decades following the war.

It's been years since I first read this book, and upon rereading, the thing that surprised me the most is how normal Anne was during these years in hiding. All of the passages about her feelings and romantic angst are, honestly, tedious, but also so, so normal for a girl her age.

I've read this several times, and never really tire of it. Well written for such a young age. The end of Anne Frank always has me crying at her near miss at survival. While reading this book, I was hiding with Anne and her family, tip-toeing around the house. So touching.

Waouh.
