If I wasn't invested in the characters and story I would of DNFed this book about 40% of the way through. Nothing happens for a good 75% of this book. There is just lots of talking. Lots of telling and little showing. It wasn't until the last 20% of this book that I actually felt engaged with the story. I am hoping the future books are better because I do want to continue this story but getting through this book was a struggle. I've never read a book with so much info dumping. I just hope the other books in this universe will be worth struggling through this one.

This book is the epitome of sex and humor, Jennifer Armentrout you have outdone yourself again!! Coming from a teen who loved your Lux series to the adult I am today. This is a really good book!

The beginning actually started out fairly strong for this series and then fell off hard. It’s now just an alternation of inner monologue and smut. There are literally pages of inner monologue with nothing happening. Chapters will end at random times and continue the same scene we just left. It’s unreadable at this point.

I have absolutely LOVED the ending, Poppy is a badass, but this book is like 200 pages worth of plot. I have high expectations for TWOTQ, tho. Really looking forward to seeing how this all unravels
