Everyone in the family loves this book! My son would ask me to read it everyday before he goes to sleep, and he especially loves the part where it goes "silly old __, didn't he know there's no such thing as a gruffalo!" Love the wit and the brilliant characters!

That was pretty good. I was familiar with the character but had not read the book. After all, why should I!? I'm not a child and never was at the time-oh it's older than I thought. I could have read this as a child. Anyway the other aspect, of having (or taking care of) a child is also not applicable. I just need to match up to my Goodreads Reading Challenge number (I saw "The Gruffalo" and "The Gruffalo" looked good).
I might reread it a few times to increase the number further. But then, that's how it's intended to be read, isn't it? Nobody that reads "The Gruffalo" gets away with only reading it once.
