Don't have a lot to say about this book. It was good, but not as good as Life of Pi. I do have to give special mention to the story Manners of Dying. Excellent!

It's no Life of Pi, but an interesting tale nonetheless. When one friend is diagnosed with AIDS, the other decides that the best distraction is to write about the Helsinki Roccamatios. The title story is actually the weakest part (I think purposely), which leaves the reader a little confused.

It was fine to fulfil my need to read while in a non-English speaking country, but it wasn't very good really.

Not as good as Life of Pi, but some of the stories are really pretty fascinating. Each story is written in such a different way, and so vividly. But, this is one of those books that when I go back and reread my favorite parts, it's just not the same.

Boring. Did not have anything to do with Finland.

Interesting short works by a fascinating and complex author. The title story especially creates an entire world and rewrites history.

Read as an audio book. This is a great example of how an audiobook should work. First person narrator for the reading work so well and the emotion involved really cuts deep.
