Ok, so in the real world this chances of this story happening may not be that great, but suspend your disbelief and you have a sweet tale. It's not great literature but it is a story about human kindness and love.

Jordyn Royale is pregnant, alone and works in a coffee shop in Hawaii. Sergio, her baby's father was the son of a Russian mobster from Brighton Beach, Brooklyn NY. When he was killed, his mother threatened Jordyn and told her she planned to take her baby. Jordyn did the only thing she could, she ran. She relocated to Hawaii and began to rebuild her life. She met Navy Seal Commander Zack Hennessey when he came in for coffee. He fell for her and upon learning she was alone and pregnant, he asked her out, but because of a crisis, he was deployed before they could go on their date.

Eight weeks later he is back at home from a harrowing mission when he hears a knock in his door. Jordyn is standing on his doorstep in the middle of the night. Her baby's grandmother has found her and threatened her and she didn't know where else to go. Zack takes her in and takes care of her. He tells her he wants to be there for her and proposes marriage to protect her and the baby. They get married, face down the mobster granny and everything works out beautifully.

Like I said earlier, if you suspend your disbelief, this is a very sweet story. Sort of like a fairytale .... sort of. In spite of the not so great writing and weak storyline, i still liked this book. It was such an easy, mindless read that it was enjoyable. I also liked Zach. He is a good guy. Not too many of those around. So while it's not literature or even a great, mind bending story, it was still a sweet, simple story that I enjoyed.
