It felt like an old TJR book without the meaningful twist that TJR creates

This book was NOT really good, actually. The protagonist was annoying and self-absorbed. Even her friends didn't like her. I get that divorce is hard and that people handle it all kinds of different ways, but this book was just...not good.

I have complicated feelings on this book. The main character became so difficult to deal with at about 50% that I almost put it down. I feel like that’s the point though. Maggie gets worse and worse and her friends and even you, the reader, don’t want to deal with her anymore.
That said, it doesn’t mean I have to enjoy it. I stuck it out and the rest of it was…okay. The wrap-up felt…okay. And that’s how real life goes. You don’t suddenly magically heal or start living the dream life. Things are okay.
So maybe this book was just not really my personal cup of tea. I do tend to read more fantasy than realistic novels.
It did make me feel like I should look up therapists and maybe join a spin class. Not sure if that’s a good or bad sign.

i honestly really enjoyed this book but the main character was just dislikable at some points and it ruined the book.
SpoilerThe ending also left much to be desired, it was nice but definitely could’ve been better, a bit of a let down really.
